The Rolex Deepsea James Cameron is one of the most distinctive professional dive watches Rolex has produced. This example is a Rolex Deepsea reference 116660 James Cameron, dated 2018, supplied as a full set, and was recently purchased by us from a client in Crowborough, East Sussex.
The James Cameron edition is instantly recognisable by its blue-to-black gradient dial, inspired by the Deepsea Challenge expedition. Housed in a 44mm Oystersteel case, the watch is engineered using Rolex’s Ringlock System and is water-resistant to 3,900 metres, making it one of the most capable dive watches ever made.
A serious professional Rolex
Despite its extreme specification, the Deepsea wears well thanks to its well-balanced case and Glidelock clasp, allowing for easy adjustment. The dial is clear, legible and purposeful, reinforcing the tool-watch nature of the model.
Powered by Rolex' s calibre 3135, the 116660 James Cameron is known for its reliability and durability, making it suitable for regular wear as well as specialist use.
